We are at the half way mark for the year and that means "Christmas in July!" Now is the time to start working on Christmas projects and gifts to allow plenty of time to finish!

In June we began carrying Berroco yarns. They are a very well loved yarn company that I'm pretty sure you are a familiar with. Not only do they have a great selection of multipurpose yarns, they offer yarns with multiple fibers and colors. You'll find great pattern support and other fun items on their website, Berroco.com. While there, check out some of their other yarn lines which include Lopi and West Yorkshire Spinners.

You can choose any of the knit or crochet patterns. Sign up for the FB group Berroco Makers, as well as their Ravelry group, Berroco Lovers. Share your progress and check in every Thursday. The promotion runs through August 1st. Berroco even offers drop ship yarn, so if we don't have the one you want, we can order it for you and they'll send it directly to you in any quantity. 

As promised, Christmas in July at K&S will start July 1st too, stop by for a free Crochet Star Garland pattern (available all month)! Our sample is made with a slightly sparkle yarn but would also be really appropriate (not to mention cute) for the 4th if made in red, white and blue. 

We will also be making Christmas ornaments this month using free patterns from Berroco. You can look for them at Berroco.com. There are 13 collections of free patterns called Minutia. They are the cutest little things! Tiny knit cabled sweaters, colorwork hats and mittens, stockings and the like all for your best dressed Christmas tree. Each Thursday you can hang out from 3-7 and make as many as you you'd like! We even have plans to show you how to make little clothes hangers to hang the sweaters from the tree.

  May 22, 2023 WMYQ West Michigan Yarn Quest was a success! We had so much fun visiting with everyone and sharing each other's yarn adventures. Thank you to everyone who stopped by K&S last week.
